Coachbuilder Long Travel Steering Kit | For Dirt King +3.154" Kits | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 | Ekstrom Design

$599.00 $658.90

Dirt King’s +3.154" long travel kit pushes each front wheel of a 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra more than three inches outboard, and the factory outer tie rods were never drawn for that geometry — most builds end up on a threaded steering extension that adds flex and one more failure point. The Coachbuilder Long Travel Replacement Steering Kit is machined to the correct length for Dirt King +3.154" Tundras, so a single billet arm spans the wider track with no extension in the load path. Toe stays consistent through the full sweep of travel, bump steer fades, and front tires stop wearing unevenly.

Features

  • Arm length purpose-built for Dirt King Long Travel Suspension +3.154"
  • No threaded steering extension needed — one continuous, stronger assembly
  • 7075 billet aluminum with a hard anodized finish
  • 7/8" heat-treated 4130 chromoly rod ends with PTFE inserts — fully rebuildable
  • Up to 30% more strength and steering travel to keep pace with long travel suspension
  • 304 stainless steel misalignment spacers, rubber grease boots, and hardened hardware
  • Bolts on in 45–60 minutes with no modification

You’ll need at least a 17" wheel with +25mm offset or less, an 18" with +35mm or less, or any 20"-plus wheel, and an alignment to Coachbuilder’s specs after install. Running Camburg or Total Chaos arms instead? The +2.50" Long Travel Steering Kit covers those, while stock-width trucks belong on the OE Replacement Steering Kit. When the heims finally wear, the Steering Kit Rebuild Kit freshens them without buying new arms — see the rest of our tie rods and steering kits.

Coachbuilder Long Travel Steering Kit | For Dirt King +3.154" Kits | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 | Ekstrom Design FAQs

Which long travel kits does this steering kit fit?

This version is machined specifically for Dirt King Long Travel Suspension at +3.154" per side on 2007–2021 Toyota Tundras. If your truck runs Camburg or Total Chaos +2.50" long travel, order the Coachbuilder +2.50" Long Travel Steering Kit instead — the arm lengths differ, and matching the kit to your track width is what keeps the geometry right.

Do I still need a threaded steering extension?

No — that is the point of this kit. Instead of stretching the factory tie rod with an extension, the Coachbuilder arm is built to the full length the Dirt King +3.154" kit needs, so there is no extra threaded junction in the load path. You get up to 30% more strength and steering travel, and the suspension can cycle fully without toe fluctuation.

Is the kit rebuildable, and what about alignment?

Yes. The 7/8" heat-treated 4130 chromoly rod ends are fully rebuildable, and the Steering Kit Rebuild Kit supplies a fresh forged heim, spacers, boot, and hardware per joint. Install takes 45–60 minutes, then align to +0.2 degrees camber per side, +2.2 to +2.5 degrees caster per side, and +0.07 to +0.10 toe per side, not exceeding +0.20 combined.
