Coachbuilder +1" Shackle Kit | .625" Rear Lift | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 Including TRD Pro | Ekstrom Design
The Coachbuilder +1" Shackle Kit is the subtlest rear lift Ekstrom Design builds for the 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra, including TRD Pro — .625" of actual lift at the rear axle. It swaps the factory stamped-steel shackles for CNC-machined billet aluminum, and that swap is where most of the payoff lives: less bed bounce, less side-to-side flex, and a rear end that feels planted instead of busy. If your Tundra is a daily driver that just needs a cleaner stance and better rear suspension manners without a full lift, this Toyota Tundra rear lift shackle kit is the size to start with.
Features
- .625" of true rear lift from +1" shackles — enough to sharpen the stance without changing the truck’s character
- CNC machined from T6 6061 billet aluminum with a hard black anodized finish
- Free pivot bushing design keeps the leaf springs cycling smoothly and reduces bushing wear
- Cuts rear bed bounce and side-to-side flex compared to the factory shackles
- Works with OE or aftermarket leaf packs, the TRD dual exhaust, and the full-size spare
- Compatible with ADS, Bilstein 5100/5160, Fox, Icon, King, OME, and TRD Pro shocks; not compatible with Road Active Suspension (RAS)
- Installs in 45–60 minutes — torque the bolts to 70 ft-lbs with the truck on the ground
- Made in the USA by Ekstrom Design & Fabrication
The kit ships with a pair of +1" shackles, graphite-infused poly bushings for the rear leaf spring eyelets, hardware, grease packs, and an install guide. Not sure .625" is enough? Step up to the Coachbuilder +2" Shackle Kit (1.25" lift). Years down the road, the Shackle Rebuild Kit freshens the bushings and hardware, and you can browse the rest of our leaf spring upgrades or all Coachbuilder gear.
Coachbuilder +1" Shackle Kit | .625" Rear Lift | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 Including TRD Pro | Ekstrom Design FAQs
Why does a +1" shackle only add .625" of lift?
Shackle length doesn't convert one-to-one into ride height. The shackle hangs at an angle and rotates as the leaf spring cycles, so a shackle that's 1" longer raises the rear axle of a 2007-2021 Tundra about .625" — that's the actual-lift number Coachbuilder publishes, and it's the honest one to plan your stance around. If you need more height, the same shackle line runs up to +4", which delivers 2.25" of actual lift.
Will this fit my Tundra TRD Pro with the TRD dual exhaust?
Yes. The kit fits all 2007-2021 Toyota Tundras including TRD Pro, clears the TRD dual exhaust, and still lets you carry the full-size spare. It works with OE or aftermarket leaf packs and is compatible with ADS, Bilstein 5100/5160, Fox, Icon, King, OME, and TRD Pro shocks. The one exception: it is not compatible with Road Active Suspension (RAS).
Do I need a carrier bearing drop kit with the +1" shackles?
Coachbuilder doesn't include one with the +1" kit — at .625" of lift the driveline angle change is the smallest in the shackle lineup. The taller +2", +3", and +4" kits do ship with a carrier bearing drop kit sized for the shackles. If you ever notice driveline vibration after a rear height change, a carrier bearing drop kit for 0-2" of rear lift is the usual fix.
