Coachbuilder OE Replacement Steering Kit — Toyota Tundra (2007–2021, incl. TRD Pro)

The factory outer tie rod ends are the weak link once a Tundra runs bigger tires, a lift, or regular trail miles — they flex and wear, and bring bump steer and uneven tire wear along with them. This Coachbuilder kit bolts in as a direct replacement with 7075-T6 billet aluminum arms and 7/8″ forged 4130 chromoly rod ends, adds up to 30% more steering travel, and keeps toe stable as the suspension cycles. No modifications, designed and machined in the USA.

7075-T6 billet armsHard-anodized billet aluminum replaces the flex-prone factory tie rod ends.
Forged chromoly rod ends7/8″ 4130 chromoly with PTFE liners — rebuildable, not throwaway.
+30% steering travelMore front-end articulation, with bump steer and uneven tire wear cut down.
Bolt-on in 45–60 minDirect OE replacement, no modifications; 304 stainless spacers & hardened hardware.
Check wheel clearance before ordering. On factory spindles: 17″ wheels need +25mm offset or less, 18″ wheels +35mm or less; 20″ and larger clear at any offset. On aftermarket spindles: 18″ wheels at 0mm or less, or 20″ at +25mm or less. Plan an alignment to Coachbuilder’s published specs afterward.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my TRD Pro?

Yes — it fits all 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra models, including the TRD Pro.

Will it clear my wheels?

On factory spindles, 17″ wheels need +25mm offset or less and 18″ need +35mm or less; 20″ and larger clear at any offset. On aftermarket spindles, run 18″ wheels at 0mm or less, or 20″ at +25mm or less.

What spindles and lifts does it work with?

Factory, CST, and Maxtrac spindles, plus ReadyLift 4″/6″/8″ and Rough Country 6″ lifts. Running a long-travel kit instead of spindles? Use the Coachbuilder +2.50″ Long Travel Steering Kit.

Is it rebuildable?

Yes. The 4130 chromoly rod ends use replaceable PTFE liners, and the Coachbuilder Steering Kit Rebuild Kit renews the joints in place instead of replacing the whole kit.

How long does installation take?

A clean bolt-on in about 45–60 minutes with no modifications. Plan a front-end alignment to Coachbuilder’s published specs afterward.
