A half inch is the working number for a lot of 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, and FJ Cruiser builds — enough to level the front end or claw back the height a heavy bumper took away. This Coachbuilder strut/coilover shim provides .50" of front lift per corner, TRD Pro models included, and it does it without adding preload to the coilover. The 1:2 ratio means the shim itself measures just .250" thick, machined from T6 6061 billet aluminum and hard black anodized. Need more? Up to two shims can be stacked per side for a full 1.00" of lift, with a bump stop extension kit recommended at that height. Every shim is made in the USA by Ekstrom Design & Fabrication.

ADS, Fox 2.5 Series, Icon 2.5 Series, and King coilovers require the Coachbuilder Coilover Bolt Kit (SAE 3/8"), while Eibach and OME BP-51 coilovers take the Metric M10 bolt kit. TRD Pro models must use the Coachbuilder Hardware Kit (SKU CBSNK). For other heights and platforms, browse our coil spacers and shims.

Does this work on my Tacoma TRD Pro?
Yes — the shim fits the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner including TRD Pro models, plus the FJ Cruiser. TRD Pro suspension must be paired with the Coachbuilder Hardware Kit (SKU CBSNK), which is sold separately.
Can I stack shims for more lift?
Up to two shims can be used per side for 1.00" of total front lift, and Ekstrom Design recommends a bump stop extension kit at that height. Each listing includes one shim, so a stacked setup on both sides means ordering four.
Does this shim lift the rear too?
No — this is a front strut/coilover shim, engineered to fine-tune the front suspension of the 2005-2023 Tacoma, 4Runner, and FJ Cruiser. It mounts on top of the front coilover and provides .50" of lift per corner. Rear height is handled by separate products.
