Coachbuilder Long Travel Steering Kit | For Camburg & Total Chaos +2.50" Kits | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 Including TRD Pro | Ekstrom Design
Camburg and Total Chaos +2.50" long travel kits add two and a half inches of track width per side to a 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra, which leaves the factory outer tie rods both too short and too weak for the job. The Coachbuilder Long Travel Replacement Steering Kit is built to the correct tie rod length for +2.50" per-side kits, replacing the OE ends with 7075 billet arms and heavy chromoly heims — no threaded extension required. The front end can then cycle its full travel without toe fluctuation, which is what eliminates bump steer and the uneven tire wear that comes with it.
Features
- Sized for +2.50" per-side long travel — Camburg and Total Chaos applications
- Replaces the weak OE outer tie rods with no threaded extension in the assembly
- 7075 billet aluminum arms with hard anodized finish
- 7/8" heat-treated 4130 chromoly rod ends with PTFE inserts — rebuildable joints
- Improves steering strength and travel by up to 30%
- 303 stainless steel misalignment spacers, rubber grease boots, and hardened hardware
- Clean 45–60 minute bolt-on install
Wheel fitment matters: run at least a 17" wheel with +25mm offset or less, an 18" with +35mm or less, or 20" and larger at any offset, then set the alignment to Coachbuilder’s specs. On a Dirt King kit instead? Its wider +3.154" track needs the Dirt King +3.154" Steering Kit. Trucks at stock track width should use the OE Replacement Steering Kit, and the Steering Kit Rebuild Kit keeps the joints serviceable for years — or browse every Coachbuilder upgrade.
Coachbuilder Long Travel Steering Kit | For Camburg & Total Chaos +2.50" Kits | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 Including TRD Pro | Ekstrom Design FAQs
Which long travel kits does this fit?
It is built for +2.50" per-side long travel suspension on 2007–2021 Toyota Tundras, with Camburg +2.50" and Total Chaos +2.50" as the verified applications. If your truck runs Dirt King long travel, that kit is +3.154" per side and needs the Coachbuilder Dirt King steering kit — the arm lengths are different, so match the steering kit to your long travel kit.
How is this different from the OE Replacement Steering Kit?
Same construction, different length. Both use 7075 billet arms, 7/8" heat-treated 4130 chromoly rod ends with PTFE inserts, and rebuildable joints, but this version is machined 2.50" longer per side to match the wider long travel track without a threaded extension. A stock-track-width 2007–2021 Tundra should run the OE Replacement kit instead.
What wheels and alignment does it need?
Run at least a 17" wheel with +25mm offset or less, an 18" with +35mm or less, or any 20" and larger wheel. Installation is a 45–60 minute bolt-on with no modification, then align to +0.2 degrees camber per side, +2.2 to +2.5 degrees caster per side, and +0.07 to +0.10 toe per side, not exceeding +0.20 combined.
