What's in Leveling Kits

A leveling kit raises the front of a truck to remove the factory rake and make room for larger tires. This collection holds lift blocks, preload collars, spacers and complete leveling kits, with the most listings from ReadyLIFT, then Fishbone Offroad and Colorado & Canyon Enthusiasts.

Fitment covers F-150, Super Duty, Tundra, Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon and Ram 1500, plus some universal items.

How to choose

Leveling is the lightest way to gain tire clearance, but it isn't free of side effects, so plan for the whole job:

  • Confirm year, 2WD or 4WD and cab configuration. Front suspension designs differ between the two.
  • Choose a kit style: blocks, spacers and collars are simpler, while a complete kit may change more of the front suspension.
  • Budget for an alignment after any change to the front end, and check headlight aim.
  • If you tow or carry a heavy load, ask whether the kit affects your ride height under load.

If you want more than a couple of inches, compare lift kits, the 0-2 inch lift kits and 2.5 inch lift kits. Larger tires will also need wheels with the right offset.

Leveling Kits FAQs

Will a leveling kit fit my Ram 1500?

There are Ram listings in the leveling category, but fitment depends on the year, trim and whether you have air suspension or a specific package. Use the vehicle selector or call (920) 249-7744 with your year and trim.

What size tires can I run with a leveling kit?

It depends on your truck, the amount of lift and the tire's width and offset. The kit's page should list the tire size it supports. If it doesn't, ask us.

Is a leveling kit the same as a lift kit?

A leveling kit raises only the front to even out the stance, while a lift kit usually raises both ends and often changes shocks and other parts. A level is simpler, but offers less clearance.

Do I need an alignment after leveling?

Yes, plan on one. Changing front ride height changes alignment angles, and an alignment protects your tires and steering feel.

Does a leveling kit hurt ride quality?

It can, since spacers load the same shocks and springs in a different position. Kits that replace more of the front suspension can ride better than a simple spacer. Match the kit to how you use the truck.
