Underhood & Rock Lights FAQs
How many rock lights do I need?
Most builds use one pod per wheel, so four, though some people add more for the rear or the sides. Morimoto sells 4 and 8 piece kits here. Plan the wiring and where each pod will mount before you pick the kit size.
What are rock lights used for?
They light the ground near the tires so you can pick a line at night, and they help with camp work and recovery. They are meant for off-road use and low-speed trail work.
Are RGB rock lights better than white?
Neither is better, it depends on your goal. White gives more usable light for placing a tire, while RGB lets you change color for looks or signaling. Some people choose RGB to cover both.
Do I need a switch or controller for rock lights?
You need a way to turn them on and off, and RGB kits typically need a controller or app to change color. Check what comes with the kit and plan the switch for the cab.
Do you have underhood lights for my truck?
There are Morimoto XB LED underhood lights listed for certain Dodge Ram trucks and Jeep Wrangler years, as well as universal kits. Check the year range or call (920) 249-7744.
