Filter wraps earn their keep
A wrap is a sacrificial pre-filter. In silt, sand or heavy mud it catches the coarse material so your primary filter stays open longer between services. Pull the wrap, rinse it, put it back — far easier than a full filter service on the trail.
Clear lids
Function first: a clear lid turns a filter inspection into a glance. Most are sold without hardware, so reuse the fasteners from your factory or existing intake lid.

What is a filter wrap and do I need one?
A filter wrap is a sacrificial pre-filter that slips over the main filter to catch dust, silt or mud before it reaches the filter. It is most useful in dusty or wet conditions. Wraps are specific to a filter part number.
How do I know which filter wrap fits my S&B filter?
Look for the part number on the filter, often starting with KF, and match it to the title. The listing names the number it fits, such as KF-1090.
What does a ram air scoop do?
It directs outside air toward the intake, and some are made for a specific truck and engine, such as the Ford Explorer ST 3.0L or Ranger 2.3L. Confirm the year and engine.
Do I need couplers if I install a new intake?
Intake kits generally come with the couplers they need, but replacements and different sizes are sold here, for example a 4.5 inch to 4.5 inch coupler. Check your intake's listing for the connection size.
Can I clean and reuse intake filters?
S&B and others sell cleanable filters and cleaning kits, but cleaning rules differ by filter type. Follow the maker's instructions and do not mix oils and cleaners between types.
