What does a track bar bracket do?
A track bar bracket relocates the track bar's frame- or axle-side mounting point to correct geometry after a lift. Lifting a solid-axle vehicle changes the bar's angle, which shifts the axle sideways and can cause a crooked stance and steering instability. The bracket drops or raises the mount so the bar sits closer to level, re-centering the axle under the truck.
Do I need a track bar bracket after lifting my Jeep?
Usually yes on a solid-axle vehicle lifted more than about 2 to 3 inches. At that height the factory track bar angle steepens enough to pull the axle off-center, showing up as an off-center stance and, in bad cases, death wobble. A relocation bracket or an adjustable track bar restores correct geometry. Smaller lifts sometimes get by, but check your axle centering.
