Coachbuilder Carrier Bearing Drop Kit | 5"–6" Rear Lift | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 | Ekstrom Design

$42.50 $46.75

At 5”–6” of rear lift, a 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra's driveline geometry is a long way from stock, and the center carrier bearing is where it shows up first β€” as driveline vibration every time you pull away. This is the deepest carrier bearing drop kit in the Coachbuilder line, built for full-size lift kits rather than leveling setups: a pair of CNC-machined T6 6061 billet aluminum spacers lowers the carrier bearing enough to bring the two-piece driveshaft's operating angles back under control at that height. Mounting hardware sized for the drop is included. Like the smaller kits, it installs between the frame support and the top of the carrier bearing in 10–15 minutes, torqued to 25 ft-lbs with the truck on the ground.

Features

  • Deepest drop in the Coachbuilder carrier bearing lineup β€” built for 5”–6” rear lifts
  • Engineered to eliminate driveline vibration after lifting the rear suspension
  • Pair of spacers CNC machined from T6 6061 billet aluminum
  • Mounting hardware included
  • Installs between the frame support and the top of the carrier bearing
  • 10–15 minute install; torque to 25 ft-lbs with the truck on the ground
  • Made in the USA by Ekstrom Design & Fabrication

Trucks lifted this far usually need driveline length correction too β€” the 1.25” Rear Driveline Spacer keeps the driveshaft seated in its slip yoke on 10.5”-axle Tundras. On 4WD trucks, pair it with the 1.00” Front Differential Drop Kit to ease CV angles up front, and find the full range of correction parts in our driveline components and Coachbuilder collections.

Coachbuilder Carrier Bearing Drop Kit | 5"–6" Rear Lift | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 | Ekstrom Design FAQs

My Tundra has a 6" lift kit — is this the right carrier bearing drop?

Yes. This kit is sized for 2007-2021 Tundras carrying 5"-6" of rear lift, which is the deepest range Coachbuilder covers. The 0"-2" and 3"-4" kits will not lower the carrier bearing far enough to correct driveshaft angles at this height, so always match the kit to the measured rear lift on the truck.

What else does a 5"-6" lifted Tundra need for the driveline?

The carrier bearing drop handles driveshaft angle, but tall lifts also pull the driveshaft outward in its slip yoke. Coachbuilder's rear driveline spacers for the 10.5" axle extend the driveshaft back into the spline, and 4WD trucks with matching front lift benefit from a front differential drop to reduce CV angles. Rear brake and ABS line relocation is worth checking at this height too.

How does the install go?

Same as the smaller kits — about 10-15 minutes. The billet spacer pair bolts between the frame support and the top of the carrier bearing at the center of the rear driveline, using the mounting hardware included in the kit. Torque to 25 ft-lbs, and do the final torque with the truck sitting on the ground so the driveline is at ride height.
