Will You Feel A Difference?
Without question! Upgrading with the Coachbuilder +2" Shackle Kit delivers a noticeable improvement in handling, stability, and overall ride quality for your Toyota Tundra. Whether you’re towing, hauling, or hitting off-road trails, the difference is immediate — and backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
How to Determine the Right Size for Your Shackle Kit:
- Park your Tundra on a flat, level surface. Measure from the center of the front and rear wheel openings to the ground (or to the top of the tire). Record both numbers.
- Using a floor jack, raise the rear of your truck by lifting under the hitch until you achieve the desired stance — ideally at least .750” taller in the rear than the front.
- Measure again and compare the new difference. This will indicate how much rear lift you need.
Installation Tips for Tundra Rear Shackles:
- Remove the rear lower shock bolts and the spare tire before starting for easier access.
- For trucks with TRD dual exhaust, unhook the rubber exhaust hangers to lower the tailpipe for better clearance.
- With the frame securely supported and the rear axle at full droop (zero load on the leaf springs), remove the OEM shackles from both the frame and the leaf packs.
- Use a ball joint press to remove the stock rubber bushings from the rear spring eyelets.
- Grease and install the supplied poly bushings and center sleeves, tapping them into place with a soft hammer.
- Coat the smooth section of all bolts with the provided grease and install.
- Torque all bolts to 70 ft-lbs, reinstall the spare tire, and reattach the lower shock bolts.
Take your Toyota Tundra’s suspension performance to the next level with the Coachbuilder +2” Shackle Kit — built for strength, comfort, and superior off-road capability.
