Which battery does this mount fit?
It is CNC-cut specifically for the Odyssey PC2150 racing battery, one of the largest batteries commonly run in off-road builds. Other Odyssey sizes will not sit snug in this tray — Artec makes matching mounts for the PC1500, PC1200, and PC925. Verify your battery model before ordering.
How does the battery stay put, and is hardware included?
A top hold-down plate clamps the battery to the base using the six included 1/4" bolts with nylock nuts. A small gap between the hold-down plate and the tray when everything is torqued down is normal. Hardware to fasten the mount itself to your vehicle is sold separately — Artec's 4-bolt battery mounting kit covers it, or you can weld the base directly in place.
Does the mount come painted?
No. It ships as bare cold-roll steel and must be painted, powder coated, or otherwise sealed before install to prevent rust. Coating it first is especially important for cargo-area or underhood relocations where moisture collects.
