The 4 Bolt Battery Mounting Kit is Artec's standalone hardware pack for strapping an Optima battery to one of their CNC-cut battery mounts. It supplies four bolts and four nylock nuts — the exact fasteners the mounts are designed around — so you can replace hardware that walked off during an engine bay rebuild or finish out a bare mount without improvising at the hardware store. The nylock nuts matter here: a battery is a heavy mass on a vibrating platform, and nuts that cannot back off keep it planted.

What exactly comes in this kit?
Four mounting bolts and four nylock nuts — the hardware set used to fasten an Optima battery down to an Artec battery mount. It does not include the battery mount or tray itself, so pair it with the Artec mount for your battery group.
Will it work with battery mounts from other brands?
It is designed around Artec's Optima battery mounts, such as the Group 34 and Group 31 mounts. Since it is simple bolt-and-nut hardware it can often be adapted to other brackets, but verify your bracket's hole size and required bolt length before counting on it.
Why nylock nuts instead of standard nuts?
A mounted battery lives on a platform that vibrates constantly, and standard nuts can back off over time. Nylock nuts have a nylon insert that grips the bolt threads, so the hold-down stays torqued through corrugated roads and trail hits.
