The Group 31 (D31) is the biggest Optima you can buy, and its weight makes a proper hold-down non-negotiable — a shifting 60-pound battery cracks its case, wears through terminals, and dies young. This Artec Industries mount is CNC-cut from 10-gauge (.130") cold-roll steel as one rigid piece that locks the D31 down against articulation, hits, and highway vibration. Pressed-in PEM nuts keep the fastener threads captive, a window keeps the label readable, and the whole thing is a clean bolt-in upgrade over flimsy factory clamps for relocations and dual-battery setups.

Which battery does this fit?
The Group 31 (D31) Optima, the largest of the common Optima sizes, in any color. It is not sized for Group 34 or Group 25/35 batteries — those cases are smaller and would rattle in this tray, so use the matching Artec mount for each group instead.
Is it vehicle-specific?
No. It is a universal mount built around the battery footprint rather than any chassis, so it bolts into Jeep, Toyota, and full-size truck builds wherever you have or can build a flat surface. Some adaptation may be required depending on where you locate the battery.
What hardware comes with it and what finishing does it need?
Self-clinching PEM nuts are already pressed into the mount, and six 1/4" bolts with nylock nuts are included to strap the battery down. Base-mounting bolts are separate — Artec's 4-bolt battery mounting kit covers them — and the bare cold-roll steel needs paint or powder coat before installation to keep rust off.
