Front Shock Mounts for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018

$54.99

The factory front shock mounts on a Jeep Wrangler JK are thin stamped brackets bolted to an area of the axle that takes constant abuse, and hard trail use bends and tears them. These Artec Industries JK Front Shock Mounts replace them with 1/4" mild steel brackets that are CNC cut and formed to nest precisely around the existing coil and control arm brackets. Beyond surviving impacts, they provide proper spacing for aftermarket shocks and stiffen a section of the housing that is prone to flex. Sold as a pair covering driver and passenger sides.

Features

  • 1/4" mild steel construction — far thicker than the stamped factory mounts
  • Precision CNC cut and formed for tight fit-up around coil and control arm brackets
  • Provides correct spacing for common aftermarket shock bodies
  • Reinforces a JK front axle zone known for bending and tearing
  • Works on both Dana 30 and Dana 44 front housings, including Rubicon
  • Compact footprint at roughly 4.25" long by 2" wide; sold as a pair

Fitment covers the front axle of every Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU from 2007 to 2018 on Dana 30 or Dana 44 housings. These are weld-on brackets that replace the factory mounts — the old ones come off, and these weld flush against the underside of the axle tube, so professional welding is required, followed by primer and paint. Doing the front end properly? Add the JK Front Axle Truss and JK Inner C Gussets for full housing reinforcement, or browse frame-side options like the weld-on Shock Towers and the rest of our shock mounts and brackets.

Front Shock Mounts for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs

Which Jeeps and axles do these fit?

They fit the front axle of the Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU from 2007 to 2018, including Rubicon models, on both Dana 30 and Dana 44 housings. The brackets are formed to nest around the factory coil and control arm brackets already on the axle.

Do these need to be welded on?

Yes. They replace the factory shock mounts entirely — the old mounts come off, the tube gets ground clean, and the new brackets weld flush against the underside of the axle tube, positioned about 1" from the inner edge of the coil spring mount. Have an experienced welder handle the install, then prime and paint the bare steel.

Will my aftermarket shocks fit these mounts?

That is a big part of why they exist — the mounts are designed with adequate spacing for common aftermarket shock bodies, which the pinched factory brackets often lack. They also reinforce the mounting area, so the upgrade pairs well with a JK front axle truss and inner C gussets on hard-used rigs.
