On a custom suspension, the shock tower carries a huge share of the load, and these Artec Industries weld-on Shock Towers give you a proven place to hang shocks, coilovers, air shocks, or struts instead of fabricating towers from scratch. Each tower is CNC laser cut and bent from 1/4" steel, and the two boxed shock tabs ship unwelded so you can set the exact mounting width your shock needs before burning them in. A reservoir passthrough hole keeps remote-reservoir plumbing routed clean. They suit buggy builds, one-ton swaps, and custom Jeep frames alike.
Features
- CNC laser cut and bent from 1/4" steel for a rigid weld-in mounting base
- Two boxed shock tabs with 1/2" mounting holes, adjustable to any width
- Tabs ship unwelded so you position them to your exact shock and travel
- Reservoir passthrough hole for tidy remote-reservoir routing
- Standard tower stands roughly 12" above the top of the frame
- No Cutout TALL option runs 4" longer for taller shock and coilover packages
- Cutout version is relieved to clear the frame rail; sold as a pair
Pick your configuration by build: Cutout for a standard 12" tower sitting over the frame, No Cutout for custom placement, or No Cutout TALL when the shock package needs the extra 4". These are weld-on fabrication parts in bare steel — professional welding is required, and you should prime and paint before final assembly (mask shock shafts from weld spatter during install). Weld-On Shock Towers (Pair) FAQs
What is the difference between the three versions?
The Cutout tower is relieved to clear the frame rail and stands about 12" above the top of the frame. The No Cutout tower is a solid version for custom placement, and the No Cutout TALL runs 4" longer for taller shock or coilover packages. All three use the same 1/4" steel construction and adjustable boxed tabs.
Are these bolt-on or weld-on, and what skills do I need?
They are weld-on fabrication parts. Installation involves cutting or prepping the frame, positioning the towers, and welding them in place, so professional welding is required. The boxed tabs also ship unwelded — you set your mounting width, then weld them to the tower. Mask shock shafts with tape to protect them from weld spatter.
What can I mount to them, and how should I finish them?
Shocks, coilovers, air shocks, and struts all work — the two boxed tabs use 1/2" mounting holes and adjust to any width. The towers ship in bare steel, so hit them with self-etching primer and paint or powder coat before final assembly to keep rust out.
