Mercedes Sprinter: LoadSpan™ (Gen 1) Roof Rails with L-Track

$299.00 $399.00

The LoadSpan (Gen 1) is a full-length, load-spreading rail system for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter that runs the whole roofline and distributes weight across the van's factory hard points rather than loading a handful of feet. Each rail is extruded from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with a native L-Track channel milled the full length, giving you continuous, industry-standard accessory mounting from front to back. DVA's deflection testing puts it at roughly 6.2 times stiffer than a compliant OEM-style rail over a 50" span under a 175 lbf center load, which keeps force spread out instead of bending into the roof at one point.

Key Features

  • Integrated full-length native L-Track channel for universal accessory mounting anywhere along the rail
  • Load-spreading design that carries weight across the entire roofline, not just at the brackets
  • Roughly 6.2x stiffer than a compliant OEM-style rail in a 50" span / 175 lbf deflection test
  • Anodized 6061-T6 extruded aluminum for strength and corrosion resistance
  • Bolt-on to factory hard points, no drilling, fully reversible
  • Includes stainless hardware, butyl sealing tape, and eight M8 sliders to get you mounting immediately

Fitment & Compatibility

Fits the 2019-and-newer VS30 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in all three wheelbases: LSPAN-SPR-144 for 144", LSPAN-SPR-170 for 170", and LSPAN-SPR-170EXT for the 170" Extended. Standard, high, and super-high roof heights are all compatible. Earlier 2007–2018 NCV3 Sprinters are not a bolt-on fit and would require drilling. Want to run T-Bolt hardware alongside L-Track? Step up to the LoadSpan-T (Gen 2), which adds a parallel 25mm T-Slot channel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Gen 1 LoadSpan have a T-Bolt channel?
No. Gen 1 has a single native L-Track channel only. If you need L-Track and 25mm T-Slot hardware to run at the same time, choose the LoadSpan-T (Gen 2).

Which SKU fits my van?
Match it to your wheelbase: LSPAN-SPR-144 for the 144", LSPAN-SPR-170 for the 170", and LSPAN-SPR-170EXT for the 170" Extended. All 2019+ VS30 roof heights are covered.

How stiff is it compared to factory rails?
In DVA's deflection analysis over a 50" span with a 175 lbf center load, LoadSpan measured about 6.2 times stiffer than a compliant OEM-style rail, so it deflects less and spreads load rather than concentrating it at one point.

Do I need to drill?
No. It bolts to the Sprinter's factory hard points and is fully reversible, though you'll need interior roof access to tighten the nuts. Budget 60 to 90 minutes solo.

What can I mount to it?
Any L-Track accessory. It works with our DualTrack-T Cross Bar Kit and with L-Track sliders, tie-down rings, and gear hooks from our Sprinter collection.
