No — it is an overlay, not a grille replacement. The shell installs directly over your factory grille surround with 3M automotive-grade tape, so the OEM part stays in place underneath. You get the chrome delete look without buying and swapping an entire grille assembly, and the truck can go back to stock.
How does it stay on, and will it hold up?
It bonds with 3M automotive-grade tape, the same class of adhesive used to attach factory body trim. Clean and degrease the chrome, dry-fit the overlay, then press it on firmly — once cured it will not fall off or shift over time, through weather, highway speeds, or car washes.
Will a color-matched finish match my paint perfectly?
Color-matched parts are checked against the prime color code, but factory paint can vary with vehicle age and build plant, so a perfect match is not guaranteed and returns are not accepted for color-match issues. Dry-fit before installing — or order Paintable ABS and have your body shop spray it to your exact truck.
