Heavy Duty Stock Track Bar Bracket for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018
Not every JK needs geometry correction — some just need the factory front track bar bracket replaced with something that won't flex, crack, or hang up on rocks. Artec's Heavy Duty Stock Track Bar Bracket keeps the track bar in the factory location on the JK's front Dana 30 or Dana 44 while swapping the stamped original for precision-formed 1/4" steel. It maintains the factory sway bar mount location, gains ground clearance over the stock piece, and reworks the steering damper mounting so the damper can ride on top of the tie rod, out of the rocks.
Features
- 1/4" mild steel, precision CNC cut and formed
- Direct weld-on replacement for the factory front track bar bracket
- Retains stock track bar geometry — a strength upgrade, not a lift correction
- Maintains the factory sway bar mount location
- Allows the steering damper to rotate to the top side of the tie rod
- Improved ground clearance over the factory bracket
- Made in the USA
Fits the front axle of the 2007-2018 Wrangler JK and JKU, Dana 30 and Rubicon Dana 44 alike, and works with stock or aftermarket track bars. It is a weld-on part in bare steel: the factory bracket comes off, some grinding and fitting is normal since housings vary, and paint plus an alignment check finish the job. Running 2" of lift or more? The JK Heavy Duty Raised Track Bar Bracket adds roll-center correction, and the rear axle gets the same treatment from the JK Rear Track Bar Bracket. Heavy Duty Stock Track Bar Bracket for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs
Does this bracket change my track bar height or geometry?
No. This is the stock-location version — it keeps the factory track bar geometry while replacing the weak stamped bracket with 1/4" steel. If your JK runs 2.0" of lift or more and needs roll-center correction, look at Artec's Heavy Duty Raised Track Bar Bracket instead.
What is the benefit of rotating the steering damper?
The bracket lets you mount the steering damper on the top side of the tie rod instead of below it. That frees up clearance under the axle and keeps the damper out of rock strikes on the trail — a small change that saves dampers.
What does installation involve?
It is a weld-on part: the factory bracket is cut off the housing and this one is welded in its place, so plan on cutting, grinding, and skilled welding. Because axle housings vary slightly, some grinding and fitment work is normal. Paint the bare steel after welding and have the alignment checked when you are done.
