Full Hydro Weld-On High Steer Arms for 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty

$296.99

These weld-on high steer arms convert 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty Dana 60 knuckles to proper full-hydraulic steering geometry. A Super Duty swap leaves the factory steering points in the wrong place; these fabricated arms raise the tie rod out of the rocks and line it up with the hydraulic ram so the whole system loads cleanly instead of binding. Laser-cut from 1/4" steel, CNC-bent, and sold as a pair with hardware.

Features

  • Precision laser-cut from 1/4" steel and CNC-bent for repeatable fitment
  • Aligns the tie rod and hydraulic ram for maximum strength and joint life
  • 3/4" bolt holes for uncompromising steering strength
  • Includes knuckle bolts and tapered spacers for a tight, high-strength mount
  • Welds directly to factory 1999-2004 Super Duty knuckles
  • Designed from 3D-scanned factory knuckles

These fit the 1999-2004 casting only — 2005+ and older ball-joint Ford knuckles are different, and professional welding is required: Artec's process calls for preheating the cast knuckle to around 400 degrees, MIG welding, slow cooling, and peening. Finish the bare steel after welding. Complete the system with the Superduty Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit and the Superduty 60 Full Hydro Ram Mount, or go drag-link style with the Crossover Weld-On High Steer Arms. More in hydraulic steering kits.

Full Hydro Weld-On High Steer Arms for 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty FAQs

Which knuckles do these arms fit?

They weld onto factory 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty Dana 60 knuckles only. The 2005+ Super Duty knuckle and the older 1992-1997 ball-joint Ford knuckle are different castings and are not compatible — Artec makes a separate 05+ version.

How involved is the welding?

This is a job for an experienced welder. The cast steel knuckle should be preheated to roughly 400 degrees, MIG welded, allowed to cool slowly (wrapping in a welding blanket helps), and peened for stress relief. Prime or paint the bare steel once the welding is done.

What else completes a full-hydro setup?

Pair the arms with Artec's Superduty Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit, the Superduty 60 Full Hydro Ram Mount, and a PSC double-ended hydraulic ram. Together they place the tie rod and ram in proper alignment for a strong, long-lived system.
