Full Hydro Weld-On High Steer Arms for 2005+ Ford Super Duty

$296.99

These fabricated weld-on arms convert 2005-and-newer Ford Super Duty knuckles to correct full-hydraulic steering geometry, curing the tie rod placement problems that come with dropping a Super Duty 60 under a Jeep or truck. They position the tie rod and hydraulic ram in proper alignment for strength, joint life, and clearance, and they are the affordable weld-on route to a clean full-hydro front end. Sold as a pair with knuckle bolts, tapered spacers, and internal gussets.

Features

  • Precision laser-cut from 1/4" steel and CNC-bent, fully fabricated arms
  • Aligns tie rod and hydraulic ram for maximum strength and longevity
  • 3/4" bolt holes; the OEM knuckle hole is drilled out to match
  • Internal gussets, knuckle bolts, and tapered spacers included
  • Welds directly to factory 2005+ Super Duty knuckles
  • 2005-2010 knuckles trim along etched tab lines; 2011+ need no trimming

Not compatible with 1999-2004 knuckles — Artec builds a separate arm for those. Because the arms weld to cast steel, follow the recommended process (preheat to about 400 degrees, MIG weld, cool slowly, peen) or hand the job to a competent welder, and paint the bare steel afterward. Finish the system with the Superduty Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit and Superduty 60 Full Hydro Ram Mount, or compare the Crossover Weld-On High Steer Arms for drag-link steering. More in hydraulic steering kits.

Full Hydro Weld-On High Steer Arms for 2005+ Ford Super Duty FAQs

Do these fit my Super Duty knuckles?

They fit factory 2005-and-newer Ford Super Duty front knuckles. On 2005-2010 castings you trim small tabs along the etched lines and grind off a casting protrusion before fit-up; 2011+ knuckles need no trimming. They are not compatible with 1999-2004 knuckles.

What welding process does Artec recommend?

The knuckle is cast steel, so preheat it to roughly 400 degrees in an oven or with a torch, MIG weld with standard wire, let it cool slowly, and peen the welds for stress relief. This should be done by a competent welder, and the bare steel needs paint afterward.

What completes the full-hydro system?

Run these arms with Artec's Superduty Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit, the Superduty 60 Full Hydro Ram Mount, and a PSC double-ended ram. The arms include the knuckle bolts and tapered spacers; the ram, mount, and linkage are separate.
