APEX Front Super Duty 60 Swap Kit 1999-2004 for Jeep Wrangler JK/JL, Gladiator JT

$472.99

Artec Industries' APEX Front Superduty Swap Kit is the complete bracket package for running a 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty Dana 60 front axle under a Jeep Wrangler JK, Wrangler JL, or Gladiator JT. Every piece welds to the Super Duty housing and lands the axle on the Jeep's factory coil, link, shock, and sway-bar pickup points, so the finished swap keeps its street manners while carrying the strength 37s and larger demand. Built around the patent-pending APEX truss, the kit gets its rigidity from a peaked-top profile rather than sheer plate mass, keeping the truss near 30 lbs.

Features

  • Complete weld-on bracket set for the 1999-2004 Super Duty Dana 60 front
  • Patent-pending APEX peaked-top truss resists twist better than a flat-top design
  • CNC laser cut in-house from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel; truss weighs roughly 30 lbs
  • CNC bent to locate itself on the axle tubes — no puzzle-piece tacking before welding
  • High-clearance differential bridge integrates the upper control-arm mounts
  • Coil brackets, bump-stop pads, and shock brackets reuse the factory suspension locations
  • Substantially less welding than earlier trusses, so less heat warp and a faster build
  • Upper-link options: adjustable 3-link mount, RockJock Johnny Joints, or Daystar bushings

Confirm your donor axle is the 1999-2004 Super Duty casting, plan for a weld-on install by an experienced fabricator, and paint the bare steel afterward. Pair it with the APEX Front SD differential top cap for full coverage over the third member; older kingpin/balljoint 60 donors take the 1985-1997 APEX front swap kit instead. Match the rear axle from our complete axle sets, and finish the job with heavy-duty steering.

APEX Front Super Duty 60 Swap Kit 1999-2004 for Jeep Wrangler JK/JL, Gladiator JT FAQs

Which Jeeps and which donor axle does this kit fit?

It installs a 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty Dana 60 front axle under a Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018), Wrangler JL (2018+), or Gladiator JT (2020+). The brackets reuse the factory coil, link, shock, and sway-bar locations on those chassis. Check your donor casting year — 1985-1997 kingpin/balljoint 60s take a different Artec kit.

Can I run a 3-link or keep the factory-style upper links?

Both. The kit ships in three upper-link configurations: an adjustable truss upper-link mount for a 3-link build, RockJock Johnny Joints in the factory location, or Daystar bushings in the factory location. Select the variant that matches your suspension plan.

What else do I need to finish the swap?

The axle, steering, and welding. Everything in the kit welds to the Super Duty housing, so an experienced fabricator or shop should do the install, and the bare steel needs paint afterward. Most builders add the matching APEX SD differential top cap for high-clearance coverage over the third member and upgrade to heavy-duty steering to match the one-ton front end.
