1-Ton BASICS Rear Axle Swap Kit for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018

$428.99

The JK 1-Ton BASICS Rear Axle Swap Kit is the economical way to get a one-ton rear axle under a Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018). It carries every bracket the swap needs and works on practically any axle with a 3.5" tube, using individual brackets located with an included template instead of the integrated tube truss of the APEX set. That keeps cost down while still putting a strong 14 bolt or Sterling under your Jeep — the smart route for a budget build that will still see hard trail use.

Features

  • Precision CNC cut from 1/4", 3/16", and 1/8" steel and CNC bent for clean fitment
  • Complete bracket set: upper and lower control arm mounts, shock mounts, anti-sway bar mounts, trackbar mount, bumpstop pads, and coil spring mounts
  • Included template offsets the coil brackets from the differential casting — no guessing or measuring
  • All remaining brackets line up to each other for a straightforward layout
  • Trackbar mount includes four positions for aftermarket lifts (stock-height hole not included)
  • Upgradeable later: trim the factory-location upper mounts and add a truss and center link mount (not included) for link geometry
  • Made in USA

Confirm your donor uses a 3.5" (or similar) axle tube and plan for a lifted ride height, since the trackbar mount omits a stock-height hole; every bracket welds on, so the work belongs with an experienced welder. Want the stiffer integrated-truss approach? Step up to the JK APEX Rear Axle Swap Brackets, or go all-in with the JK APEX Rear Sterling Truss Swap Kit. Every one-ton package lives in our complete axle sets collection.

1-Ton BASICS Rear Axle Swap Kit for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs

How does BASICS differ from the APEX bracket set?

BASICS uses individual brackets located with an included template, which keeps the price down. The APEX set integrates the coil brackets and bumpstop pads into an axle-tube truss and adds a machined solid-steel coil locator for more rigidity and faster welding. Both are complete weld-on kits for JK one-ton rear swaps on 3.5" tube axles.

How do I position the brackets during install?

The kit includes a template that offsets the coil brackets from the differential casting, so there is no guessing or measuring for the critical starting points. From there, the remaining brackets line up to each other for a straightforward layout. All welding should be done by an experienced fabricator, with preheat and alternating passes to limit warp.

Which axles will it work with?

Practically any one-ton rear axle with a 3.5" tube or similar, including the GM 14 bolt and Ford Sterling 10.5. Note the trackbar mount carries four positions for aftermarket lift heights and no stock-height hole, since a one-ton swap runs with a lift. Measure your donor's tube diameter before ordering.
