The 1-Ton APEX Front SD Differential Top Cap solves one of the awkward spots in a Super Duty front axle swap: the driver-side upper control arm has nowhere to mount on the bare differential casting. This heavy-duty 1/4" steel cap welds directly to the diff casting of a 2005-and-newer Ford Super Duty Dana 60 (Super 60), creating a solid, high-clearance surface for the driver-side upper control arm bracket — with room for a bushing or Johnny Joint style mount. It is a small part that anchors a critical link point on any APEX front swap build.
