Weld-On Shock + Lower Link Axle Combo Brackets (Pair)
On a linked axle there is only so much tube to go around, and the shock usually loses the fight for space. Artec Industries' Shock + Lower Link Axle Combo Brackets solve that by stacking the shock mount directly over the lower link joint, offset from the axle-tube centerline, using Artec's proven link bracket instead of a bulky dedicated tower. Each kit covers both sides and comes in your choice of 0, 10, or 22-degree lower link angles, so the bracket matches your geometry rather than compromising it. Formed from 1/4" CNC laser-cut, boxed cold-rolled steel plate and made in the USA, these are weld-on fabrication brackets for coilover, air shock, and ORI strut builds.
Features
- Lower link mount and over-the-joint shock tab combined, driver and passenger sides in one kit
- Shock sits offset from the tube centerline, freeing crowded axle real estate
- Three lower-link angle options: 0 degrees (SKU BR1086), 10 degrees (BR1087), or 22 degrees (BR1088)
- 2.625" link mounting width with 9/16" bolt hole fits common cartridge joints (Johnny, Flex, Ballistic); drillable for 1.25" rod ends with spacers
- Accepts any shock mounting width from 1.25" to 1.6" — coilovers, air shocks, or ORI struts — with shock caps included
- 1/4" boxed cold-rolled steel plate with a built-in skid to shield the joint from rocks
- Top access preserved for the joint's grease fitting
- CNC laser cut and bent in the USA
These are universal weld-on brackets, not a vehicle-specific bolt-on: choose the link angle that matches your suspension design, mock up cycle clearance before burning them in, and expect to weld them as part of a proper link-suspension build. They ship raw, so paint or powder coat after welding. Setting the upper links too? Weld-On Shock + Lower Link Axle Combo Brackets (Pair) FAQs
How do I choose between the 0, 10, and 22-degree versions?
Pick the angle that matches the lower link geometry you have designed — the bracket angle sets how the link exits relative to the axle tube. All three versions share the same 2.625" link mounting width and 9/16" bolt hole, so joint compatibility does not change with angle. Mock up your links and shock travel before committing to a weld.
What joints and shocks will these brackets accept?
The link pocket fits common cartridge joints such as Johnny, Flex, and Ballistic joints at 2.625" width with a 9/16" bolt, and the hole can be drilled out for 1.25" rod ends with spacers. The shock tab accepts any mounting width from 1.25" to 1.6", covering coilovers, air shocks, and ORI struts, and shock caps are included.
Are these bolt-on, and how should I finish them?
No — they are weld-on fabrication brackets meant to be positioned and welded as part of a link-suspension build, so solid welding skills or a professional fabricator are required. They ship as raw steel, so plan to paint or powder coat after welding to keep rust off. The boxed design includes a skid that shields the joint once installed.
