These Artec inner C gussets shore up the weakest point of the factory front axle on the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018 and up) and Gladiator JT (2020 and up): the cast inner C's where the knuckles mount. Once you add 35s and start working rock ledges, steering and impact loads flex the junction between casting and axle tube, and alignment slowly walks away from spec. Each 3/16" steel gusset is CNC laser cut, CNC bent, and contoured from 3D scans of the JL/JT housing, so it wraps around the inner C instead of sitting against it as a flat plate. The set reinforces both the Dana 30 (M186) and Dana 44 (M210) front axles, making it a smart first structural upgrade before a full truss.

Which version fits my Jeep?

Match the SKU to your trim. JL4508 fits the Wrangler JL Rubicon, Gladiator JT Rubicon, and JT MaxTow; JL4506 fits JL Sport and Sahara, JT Sport and Overland, and Rubicon models sold outside the US and Canada. Both sets reinforce the factory front Dana 30 (M186) and Dana 44 (M210) housings.

Do the gussets require welding, and does the axle need to come apart?

Yes, these are weld-on parts, and because each 3/16" gusset wraps tightly around the inner C, plan on removing the axle and moving the knuckles and steering out of the way for clean torch access. This is a job for a competent welder — if you have not welded cast-to-tube joints before, have a professional handle the install.

Why reinforce the inner C on a JL or JT?

The inner C carries steering and impact loads from the knuckle into the axle tube, and larger tires multiply those forces every time the front end hits a ledge. Flex here shows up as wandering alignment and, eventually, cracking. Wrapping the casting with formed 3/16" steel stiffens the joint before that damage starts.
