JK 1 Ton Sterling ABS Kit for Jeep Wrangler (1999-2004 Super Duty) 60 Tooth
The 60-tooth version of Artec's Sterling ABS kit finishes the wiring-and-sensors chapter of a Jeep Wrangler JK 1-ton rear swap using a 1999-2004 Super Duty donor axle. JKs that left the factory with 60-tooth tone rings need a 60-tooth target on the new axle, and this kit delivers exactly that: a steel sensor mount that locates the factory wheel-speed sensor on the early Sterling housing plus a matched 60-tooth ring. With both installed, the JK's computer reads real wheel-speed data again and the post-swap ABS codes, traction-control faults, and limp mode disappear.
Features
- Sensor mount fits the Ford Sterling rear axle from 1999-2004 Super Duty trucks
- Matched 60-tooth tone ring for JKs with 60-tooth factory ABS rings
- Eliminates ABS and traction-control codes plus limp mode after the swap
- Steel construction built for a permanent under-axle installation
- Sensor mount and tone ring arrive as one complete set
Before ordering, count the teeth on your JK's original front tone ring — if it reads 52, you want the 52-tooth kit for this same axle instead. Sterling from a 2005-or-newer donor truck? That housing takes the 2005+ Super Duty 60-tooth kit. The 60-tooth tone ring is sold on its own as well, and you can browse related swap parts in our axle reinforcements collection.
JK 1 Ton Sterling ABS Kit for Jeep Wrangler (1999-2004 Super Duty) 60 Tooth FAQs
Which Jeep and which axle is this kit for?
It fits the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK when swapping in a Ford Sterling rear axle pulled from a 1999-2004 Super Duty. The sensor location on the early Sterling differs from the 2005-and-newer housing, so match the kit to your donor axle's year as well as your Jeep's tooth count.
How do I confirm I need 60 teeth and not 52?
Count the teeth on your JK's original front tone ring — Jeep used both 52- and 60-tooth rings across the JK run, and the replacement must match for the ABS to calculate wheel speed correctly. If your count comes up 52, order the 52-tooth kit for the same 1999-2004 axle instead.
Will this kit handle my speedometer and gearing recalibration too?
No — it restores the wheel-speed signal so ABS and traction control work, which is what clears the codes and limp mode. Recalibrating for a new gear ratio and larger tires is a tuner's job, and most 1-ton swap builds use one to finish the electronics side completely.
