Sterling ABS Mounting Plates (1999-2004 Super Duty) for Jeep Wrangler JK

$28.59

These mounting plates give a Jeep Wrangler JK's wheel-speed sensor a home on a swapped Ford Sterling rear axle from a 1999-2004 Super Duty. A bare Sterling housing has nowhere to bolt the JK's factory ABS sensor, and without the sensor reading a tone ring the Jeep throws codes and heads for limp mode. Laser cut from steel and engineered using 3D scan files of the axle, the plates position the factory sensor precisely over the ring for a clean signal. They're sold on their own for builders who already have a tone ring and just need the mounting solved.

Features

  • Positions the factory JK wheel-speed sensor on a 1999-2004 Super Duty Sterling axle
  • Laser cut for precise sensor spacing over the tone ring
  • Engineered using 3D scan files of the actual housing
  • CNC machined steel built for a permanent axle-mounted install
  • Keeps ABS and traction control alive after a 1-ton swap
  • Made in the USA

These are the sensor plates only — pair them with a tone ring matched to your JK's factory tooth count, either the 52-tooth Sterling tone ring or the 60-tooth Sterling tone ring. Want everything in one box? The complete 1999-2004 Sterling ABS kit bundles mount and ring together. Note that 2005-and-newer Sterling axles use a different sensor location and take the 2005+ version of these plates.

Sterling ABS Mounting Plates (1999-2004 Super Duty) for Jeep Wrangler JK FAQs

Do these plates include a tone ring?

No — these are the sensor mounting plates only. Pair them with the Sterling tone ring that matches your JK's factory tooth count, sold separately in 52- and 60-tooth versions, or buy the complete JK Sterling ABS kit to get the mount and ring together.

Which Sterling axles do they fit?

The Ford Sterling rear axle from 1999-2004 Super Duty trucks, swapped under a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Ford relocated the sensor provision on the 2005-and-newer axle, so later donors need the 2005+ version of these plates instead — check your donor truck's year before ordering.

Why can't I just zip-tie or fabricate a sensor mount?

Wheel-speed sensors are sensitive to air gap — a few thousandths of misalignment produces a weak or erratic signal and intermittent ABS faults. These plates are laser cut and engineered from 3D scans of the housing to hold the factory sensor at the correct spacing over the ring, which is exactly the tolerance a hand-fabricated bracket struggles to hit.
