Rear Frame Side Coil Spring Keeper Kit for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+
On a lifted Jeep Gladiator JT — or one cycling long-travel shocks — the rear axle can droop far enough that a rear coil walks off its frame-side perch. The Artec Industries Rear Frame Side Coil Spring Keeper Kit (JT6990) traps the top of each rear coil at the frame so the spring stays located through the whole range of travel, from slow rock articulation to fast washboard cycling. Cut from 3/16" steel and designed off factory CAD data and 3D scans of the JT frame, it is a small part that saves you from crawling under the bed to re-seat a popped spring on the trail. It suits long-arm and extended-travel Gladiators especially well.
Features
- CNC laser-cut 3/16" steel keepers for the JT rear frame-side coil perches
- Keeps the rear coils seated and captured at full droop
- Designed from factory CAD data and 3D scans for a precise fit to the Gladiator frame
- Includes bolts and washers to finish the job
- Welds on for a permanent hold
- Does not limit suspension travel or change ride height
- Made in the USA
Fits the rear frame-side coil perches on the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020 and up); it earns its keep on any Gladiator whose lift or shocks allow enough rear droop to unseat a coil. Welding is required, so plan the install accordingly and paint the bare steel when done. Reinforcing the rear frame mounts at the same time? Pair it with the JT HD rear LCA frame bracket, and see the rest of our coil spring hardware and Jeep Gladiator parts.

Rear Frame Side Coil Spring Keeper Kit for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+ FAQs
Why would my Gladiator need coil keepers?
Once a JT is lifted or running extended-travel shocks, the rear axle can droop far enough that an uncaptured coil unseats from its frame-side perch — usually at the worst possible spot on the trail. These keepers trap the top of each rear coil so it stays located through full droop. They are cheap insurance on any long-travel build.
Is welding required to install the kit?
Yes — the keepers weld to the frame-side perch area for a permanent hold, and bolts and washers are included to complete the assembly. Plan on clean, prepped metal and paint the bare steel once the welds cool. If you are not confident welding on your frame, have a professional handle it.
Will the keepers reduce my suspension travel?
No. They simply retain the coil at the top perch — they do not shorten travel, preload the spring, or change ride height. The suspension cycles exactly as before; the spring just cannot walk out of position when the axle hangs at full droop.
