Boatside Body Mounts (1.25 Inch Lift) for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006

$329.99

These Artec Boatside Body Mounts swap the crush-prone factory mounts on a Jeep Wrangler TJ or LJ for 3/16" steel replacements that raise the tub 1.25" at the same time. The factory mounts are the low point along the boatside — they catch ledges, fold under impact, and rust off the frame — while these are fully boxed and angled underneath so each mount works as its own skid. The built-in lift opens room for bigger tires, exhaust routing, or engine and drivetrain work without stacking a separate body lift kit, and no taller bushings are needed.

Features

  • CNC laser cut and CNC bent from 3/16" steel
  • Builds in 1.25" of body lift — no separate body lift kit or taller bushings needed
  • Completely boxed underside angled to work as a skid plate
  • Angled sides improve break-over clearance over stock mounts
  • CAD-designed from Chrysler factory models for a frame-correct fit
  • Locating tabs align the laser-cut pieces during weld-up
  • Made in the USA

Fits the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006) and LJ Unlimited (2004-2006), and installation requires a competent welder — the mounts weld together and then weld to the frame, with bare steel to paint afterward. To keep the radiator and four rear body mounts level with the new 1.25" height, add the TJ Aluminum Body Mount Spacer Kit; if you want to stay at stock height, the OEM-height version is the same mount without lift. More options live in body mounts.

Boatside Body Mounts (1.25 Inch Lift) for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006 FAQs

How much lift do these mounts add, and do I need new bushings?

They build 1.25" of body lift directly into the mount, so there is no need for taller bushings or a separate body lift kit. That raise creates room for larger tires, exhaust, or engine and drivetrain modifications on a TJ (1997-2006) or LJ (2004-2006).

Do I need the spacer kit with these?

If your Jeep has no existing body lift, yes — the Aluminum Body Mount Spacer Kit raises the radiator mount and four rear body mounts 1.25" so the whole tub sits level with the new boatside height. If you already run a 1.25" body lift, those points are covered and the spacers are unnecessary.

How hard is the installation?

This is a fabrication job: the laser-cut pieces weld together — locating tabs and etched part numbers keep them aligned — and the finished mounts weld to the frame. Have a competent welder do the work, and paint or coat the bare steel afterward to protect it.
