Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods: NCS Spot Beam

$379.00

Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods — NCS Spot Beam

The NCS Spot is the long-range 4Banger. Three Nichia NCS emitters sit behind optics that build a 5-degree hot spot, putting 105,000 candela of white light well down the trail while still throwing some flood around it.

The housing runs 30% smaller than what it replaces, so it tucks into ditch and bumper mounts without dominating the front end. Designed, engineered and tested in the USA.

Why it works
5-degree hot spotA tight 5-degree hot spot plus flood spill gives long-range visibility: 105,000 cd in white, 73,500 cd in yellow.
30% smaller housingThe compact body is 30% smaller for a sleek OEM+ fitment alongside Morimoto's application mounting kits.
Nichia NCS emittersThree Nichia NCSW131F or NCSY131F LEDs, with proprietary optics developed specifically around modern Nichia sources.
IP69K sealedMeets IP69K weather resistance standards, in a Makrolon LED PC lens and powdercoated die-cast aluminum housing.

Frequently asked questions
Are these figures for one pod or a pair?

Every figure in the spec table is per pod / each. The 15.6w draw, 1.5A current and 1,350 lm raw output are single-pod numbers.

Which beam pattern should I choose?

The NCS Spot builds a 5-degree hot spot for long-range visibility. If you want width instead of distance, the NCS Combo and NCS Wide use the same housing with different optics.

White or yellow?

White NCS emitters produce 105,000 cd and yellow produce 73,500 cd. Yellow gives up peak intensity in exchange for better contrast in weather.

How do they mount and wire in?

Each pod uses a proprietary overmolded Deutsch DT 2-pin input. Mounting is M6 x 1.0 x 8mm from the pod to the U-bracket and M10 x 1.5 x 20mm at the bracket base, and the 30% smaller housing is sized to work with Morimoto's mounting kits.
