Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods — HXB Spot Beam
The HXB Spot is the far end of the 4Banger range. Three Osram HX Boost emitters push 170,000 candela of white light through spot optics that reach up to 800 meters.
It runs 42w per pod for that output, in the same 30% smaller housing that fits Morimoto's mounting kits. Morimoto states it is compliant with SAE standards for auxiliary high beams and fog lights.

How far do these actually throw?
Morimoto rates the Osram HX Boost emitters in the HXB Spot as lighting up to 800 meters, at 170,000 cd in white.
Are these figures for one pod or a pair?
Every figure in the spec table is per pod / each. The 42w draw and 3.2A current are single-pod numbers, which matters when you size the harness.
Are they street legal?
They are compliant with SAE standards for auxiliary high beams and fog lights. Local rules on how auxiliary lighting may be wired and used still apply.
What is the difference between HXB and NCS?
HXB uses Osram HX Boost emitters at 42w and 3,000 lm raw per pod. NCS uses Nichia emitters at 15.6w and 1,350 lm raw. HXB is the higher-output, higher-draw option in the same housing.
