Engine Oil Skid with Oil Door for Jeep Wrangler JLU 4xe 2021+
The JLU 4xe Engine Oil Skid puts 1/4" of heat-treated aluminum between the plug-in-hybrid Wrangler's oil pan and the trail, without turning every oil change into a skid-removal project. Its defining feature is the built-in oil door — a removable access panel aligned with the drain plug and filter, so routine service happens with the armor still bolted up. It is the engine-oil module of Artec Industries' 4xe underbody system, CNC laser cut and formed from factory CAD data and 3D Creaform scans, and sold on its own for owners building coverage in stages.
Features
- 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum skid — strong, light, and naturally rust-resistant
- 3/16" zinc-plated steel mounting brackets for a corrosion-resistant connection
- Integrated oil door for drain-and-filter service without removing the skid
- CNC laser cut and formed from factory CAD files and 3D Creaform scans
- Bare aluminum finish matches the rest of the Artec 4xe skid line
- Bolt-on install with countersunk hardware included
Fits the 4-door Jeep Wrangler JLU 4xe plug-in hybrid, 2021 and up, and covers the engine oil area only — it is one module of the larger system, not full-length protection by itself. Engine Oil Skid with Oil Door for Jeep Wrangler JLU 4xe 2021+ FAQs
How does the oil door work?
A removable access panel in the skid lines up with the oil drain plug and filter, so an oil change means opening the door rather than unbolting the entire skid. It reinstalls in minutes and keeps the armor's coverage intact the rest of the time.
Which Wrangler does this fit?
The 4-door JLU 4xe plug-in hybrid, 2021 and up. It is designed around the 4xe's specific underbody layout, so it is not intended for gas JL Wranglers.
Do I need to paint or coat it?
No. The skid ships in bare 6061-T6 aluminum, which resists corrosion on its own — unlike bare steel, it can stay uncoated indefinitely. You can anodize or coat it for looks, and the zinc-plated steel brackets are already corrosion-protected.
