1-Ton APEX Rear Sterling Truss Swap Kit for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+

$626.99

The 1-Ton APEX Rear Sterling Truss Swap Kit is Artec's truss-and-bracket package for putting a Ford Super Duty Sterling 10.5 rear axle under a 2020-and-newer Jeep Gladiator JT. The Sterling is a stout, easy-to-find one-ton housing, and this kit braces it with Artec's patent-pending peaked-top APEX truss while locating the suspension so the axle accepts factory-style link, coil, shock, sway bar, and trackbar mounting. It adds roughly 55 lbs of steel to the housing and cuts weld time by about 70 percent compared to earlier truss designs. Built for Gladiator owners running tires and terrain the factory rear axle was never meant to survive.

Features

  • Patent-pending APEX peaked-top profile resists housing deflection better than a flat-plate truss
  • CNC laser cut in-house from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel — roughly 55 lbs of bracing
  • CNC bent so the truss drops over the Sterling housing ready to weld, with no puzzle-piece assembly
  • Pre-bent long seams eliminate seam welding entirely
  • About 70% less welding than previous truss designs, meaning less heat warp and faster turnaround
  • Modeled from Ford and Jeep 3D data for accurate fit and driveline clearance
  • Integrated coil brackets and bumpstop pads tie directly into the truss structure
  • Made in USA at Artec's Utah facility

Confirm your donor axle is the Ford Super Duty Sterling 10.5 before ordering — the truss and bracket locations are specific to that housing, and installation requires professional-level welding done in stages. 1-Ton APEX Rear Sterling Truss Swap Kit for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+ FAQs

Which axle and vehicle is this kit built for?

It fits the Ford Super Duty Sterling 10.5 rear axle going under a 2020-and-newer Jeep Gladiator JT. The truss and bracket geometry are specific to the Sterling housing, so confirm your donor axle before ordering. If your donor is a Ford 9-inch instead, Artec offers a matched JT kit for that axle.

How much welding does the install take?

It is a weld-on kit, but the APEX design needs about 70% less bead than older trusses because the long seams are pre-bent rather than welded. The truss drops over the housing ready to weld with no assembly. It still calls for a skilled welder working in stages to keep the housing from warping.

What comes in the box, and what do I still need?

You get the APEX peaked-top truss — with integrated coil brackets and bumpstop pads — plus the suspension mounting brackets for the Sterling swap, about 55 lbs of 1/4" and 3/16" laser-cut steel in total. You still supply the Sterling axle itself along with control arms, coils, shocks, and gears.
