1-Ton APEX Rear 14-Bolt Truss Swap Kit for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+
The Artec Industries JT 1-Ton APEX Rear 14-Bolt Truss Swap Kit puts one of the toughest one-ton axles ever made — the GM/AAM 14-bolt 10.5 — under a 2020-and-newer Jeep Gladiator JT. The patent-pending APEX peaked-top truss wraps the big housing against big-tire abuse while the integrated brackets locate the Gladiator's suspension pickup points on the new axle. At about 42 lbs of laser-cut steel with pre-bent seams, it reinforces the 14-bolt without the marathon weld sessions and heat warp older flat trusses demanded.
Features
- Adapts the GM/AAM 14-bolt 10.5 rear axle to the Gladiator JT chassis
- Patent-pending APEX peaked-top truss provides more rigidity than a flat-top design
- CNC laser cut in-house from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel — about 42 lbs total
- CNC bent to drop onto the housing ready to weld, no puzzle-piece assembly
- Coil bracket and bumpstop pads integrated into the truss
- Works with factory-style JT suspension pickup points
- Roughly 70% less welding than previous designs cuts warping and build time
- Modeled from GM, Ford, and Jeep 3D data for fit and clearance
Fits the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020-present) converting to an AAM/GM 14-bolt 10.5 rear; this is a weld-on kit that calls for staged tacking by a competent welder, and the bare steel needs paint when done. Running a 9-inch instead? See the JL APEX Rear 9-Inch kit for the Wrangler side of the family, and match the front with the APEX Front Superduty Swap Kit or APEX Front 9-Inch Swap Kit. 1-Ton APEX Rear 14-Bolt Truss Swap Kit for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+ FAQs
Which axle does this kit fit, and why choose a 14-bolt?
It is cut for the GM/AAM 14-bolt 10.5 rear axle going under a 2020-and-newer Jeep Gladiator JT. The 14-bolt is prized for its huge ring gear and near-indestructible strength, making it a favorite one-ton swap for trucks that see big tires and heavy loads. Artec also offers matched JT kits for Ford 9-inch and Sterling 10.5 axles.
What comes in the box?
The APEX peaked-top rear truss with the coil bracket and bumpstop pads integrated into it, plus the suspension mounting brackets for the 14-bolt swap. The axle itself is not included — you supply the 14-bolt housing and this kit adapts and reinforces it for the JT.
How should I approach the welding?
Tack the truss and brackets in stages with a competent welder to control heat and keep the housing straight. The APEX design needs roughly 70% less welding than older flat-top trusses because the long seams come pre-bent, but it is still a fabrication-level job, and the bare steel needs paint afterward.
