1-Ton APEX Rear Axle Swap Brackets for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+
The JL 1-Ton APEX Rear Axle Swap Brackets are a full weld-on bracket system for hanging a one-ton rear axle under a 2018-and-newer Jeep Wrangler JL. Rather than committing to one housing, the set works on nearly any axle with a 3.5" tube — 14 bolt, Sterling 10.5, and similar — and its coil brackets and bumpstop pads extend from a built-in axle tube truss that ties the housing together for end-to-end rigidity. It is the pick for JL fabricators who want maximum donor flexibility.
Features
- CNC laser cut from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel and CNC bent for accurate fitment
- Built-in axle tube truss provides complete end-to-end rigidity
- Coil brackets and bumpstop pads extend directly from the tube truss
- Complete set: upper and lower control arm mounts, shock mounts, anti-sway bar mounts, trackbar mount, bumpstop pads, and coil spring mounts
- Trackbar mount offers four positions to dial in geometry for aftermarket lifts (stock-height hole not included)
- Welds up faster than a pile of individual brackets, saving hours of install time
- Made in USA
Plan the donor before you order: with a 14 bolt, confirm the axle width suits the factory upper control arm brackets; with a Sterling, check clearance to the factory gas tank, since some builds need a stretch or an aftermarket tank. Welding should be handled by an experienced fabricator. Prefer a truss cut to your exact housing? See the JL APEX Rear 14 Bolt Truss Swap Kit or JL APEX Rear Sterling Truss Swap Kit, and compare every package in the complete axle sets collection.
1-Ton APEX Rear Axle Swap Brackets for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+ FAQs
Which axles do these brackets fit?
Nearly any one-ton rear axle with a 3.5" diameter tube or similar, including the GM 14 bolt and Ford Sterling 10.5. Because the system indexes off the tube instead of a specific casting, it adapts to many donor housings. Measure your tube before ordering.
Any clearance issues I should plan for?
Two common ones. On a Sterling swap, watch clearance to the JL's factory gas tank — some builds require a stretch or an aftermarket tank. On a 14 bolt, make sure the axle width works with the factory upper control arm bracket locations before you start welding.
Do I need to buy a separate truss?
No. The coil brackets and bumpstop pads extend from a built-in axle tube truss that gives the housing end-to-end rigidity, and it welds up faster than locating individual brackets. If you want a full peaked-top truss matched to your specific housing, choose one of the complete JL truss swap kits instead.
