1-Ton Basics Rear Axle Swap Kit with Truss for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018
Artec Industries' JK 1-Ton Basics Rear Axle Swap Kit with Truss is the value-focused, everything-included bracket package for putting a one-ton rear axle under a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Pick the truss variant that matches your donor — Spidertrax 9-inch, GM 14-bolt, or Ford Sterling 10.5 — and the kit supplies every weld-on mount the JK's rear suspension needs, sized to fit practically any housing with a 3.5" axle tube. The smart part is the layout system: the coil brackets locate off the differential casting with an included template, and every other bracket indexes off the ones before it, so the swap goes together without endless measuring.
Features
- Complete rear bracket-and-truss system for one-ton axle swaps on the JK
- Three truss variants: Spidertrax 9-inch, GM 14-bolt, or Ford Sterling 10.5
- Truss CNC laser cut from 3/16" steel and CNC bent for a drop-on fit
- Brackets laser cut from 1/4", 3/16", and 1/8" steel — thickness where it counts
- Includes upper and lower control arm, shock, anti-sway bar, and coil spring mounts plus bumpstop pads
- Trackbar mount drilled with 4 hole locations for aftermarket lift heights (no stock-height hole)
- Coil template locates the brackets off the diff casting; remaining brackets index to each other
- Fits most housings with a 3.5" axle tube or similar diameter
Fits 2-door and 4-door JKs from 2007-2018; order the variant matching your donor axle, plan on a weld-on install by someone with fabrication experience, and paint the bare steel when done. Want Artec's newer peaked-top truss with less weld time, step up to the JK APEX Rear 9-Inch Truss Swap Kit, and build the front to match with the APEX Front 9-Inch Swap Kit or APEX Front Superduty Swap Kit. More options in our complete axle sets collection.
1-Ton Basics Rear Axle Swap Kit with Truss for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs
Which donor axles will this kit work with?
The kit ships in three truss configurations — Spidertrax 9-inch (JK6114), GM 14-bolt (JK6113), and Ford Sterling 10.5 (JK6112) — so order the variant that matches your donor. The bracket set itself fits most housings with a 3.5" axle tube or similar diameter, and everything installs under a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK, 2-door or 4-door.
How do I locate the brackets during install?
Artec designed the layout to minimize measuring. The coil spring brackets locate off the differential casting using the included template, and every other bracket indexes to the ones already placed. You still need welding and fabrication experience, but you are not plotting a dozen mounts from scratch.
What is the difference between this Basics kit and the APEX kits?
The Basics kit is the value-focused package built around Artec's proven flat truss design. The APEX kits use the newer patent-pending peaked-top truss, which is stiffer and needs roughly 70% less welding. Both give you a complete rear swap — choose based on budget and how much weld time you want to spend. A brackets-only Basics version is also available if you already have a truss.
