1-Ton APEX Rear 9-Inch Truss Swap Kit for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018

$604.99

The Artec Industries JK 1-Ton APEX Rear 9-Inch Truss Swap Kit is the next-generation truss and bracket package for swapping a Spidertrax/Ford 9-inch rear axle under a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Its patent-pending peaked-top APEX truss contours to the differential and integrates the coil brackets and bumpstop pads directly into the structure, delivering more rigidity than a flat-top truss at roughly 40 lbs of total steel. Because the long seams arrive pre-bent instead of welded, the housing sees about 70% less weld heat — your one-ton rear goes together faster and comes out straighter.

Features

  • Patent-pending APEX peaked-top truss is stiffer than a traditional flat-top design
  • CNC laser cut in-house from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel — roughly 40 lbs total
  • CNC bent to drop onto the 9-inch housing ready to weld, no puzzle-piece assembly
  • Coil brackets and bumpstop pads integrated into the truss itself
  • Dimpled holes trim weight while adding rigidity
  • Works with the JK's factory link, spring, anti-sway bar, and shock locations
  • About 70% less welding than earlier trusses means less warp and faster turnaround
  • Modeled from Spidertrax and Jeep 3D data for precise fit and clearance

Fits the Wrangler JK (2007-2018) converting to a Spidertrax or Ford 9-inch rear housing; this is a weld-on kit for a competent fabricator, and the bare steel needs paint after final welding. Build the front to match with the APEX Front 9-Inch Swap Kit, or compare the budget-friendly JK 1-Ton Basics Rear Swap Kit with Truss. The JL version covers 2018+ Wranglers, and the full range is in our complete axle sets collection.

1-Ton APEX Rear 9-Inch Truss Swap Kit for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs

Which axle and which Jeep is this kit built for?

It is designed for a Spidertrax or Ford 9-inch rear housing going under a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. The truss and brackets are modeled from Spidertrax and Jeep 3D data so the axle lands on the JK's factory link, coil, anti-sway bar, and shock locations.

How much welding does the install involve?

About 70% less than older flat-top trusses — the long seams come pre-bent, and the truss is CNC bent to drop onto the housing ready to weld. It still requires a competent welder, and welding should be done in stages to manage heat and keep the housing from warping. Paint the bare steel afterward.

How does this compare to the Basics rear swap kit?

The APEX kit uses Artec's newer patent-pending peaked-top truss, which is stiffer, lighter at roughly 40 lbs, and much faster to weld out. The Basics kit is the value option built around the earlier truss design. Both convert a JK to a one-ton rear — the APEX is the pick if build time and housing straightness matter most.
