1 Ton 14 Bolt 60 Tooth Tone Ring for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018
When a Jeep Wrangler JK gets a GM 14-bolt rear axle, the donor housing arrives with no reluctor for the Jeep's ABS to read, and the dash lights up accordingly. This Artec Industries 60-tooth tone ring presses onto the 14-bolt so the relocated factory sensor picks up a clean wheel-speed signal, keeping ABS and stability control functional and clearing the codes and limp-mode behavior that come from a silent sensor. It is CNC machined from 3/16" steel, zinc plated, and offered in 4.55" and 4.375" inner diameters to match your hub. Made in the USA for JK one-ton swaps whose ABS module reads a 60-tooth ring.
Features
- 60-tooth reluctor profile for the factory JK wheel-speed pickup
- CNC machined from 3/16" steel, engineered from 3D scan files
- Zinc plated to fight corrosion at the hub
- Two inner diameters — 4.55" (SKU BB1403) and 4.375" (SKU BB1406) — to suit different 14-bolt setups
- Press-fit installation; Artec recommends an interference fit secured with green Loctite
- Restores accurate wheel-speed data to eliminate ABS codes and limp mode
- Made in the USA
Confirm two things before ordering: that your ABS module expects 60 teeth — if it reads 52, use the 52-tooth 14-bolt tone ring instead — and which inner diameter seats on your hub. Hub machining may be required for the press fit, so plan on a local machine shop if your hub needs it. Add the 14-bolt ABS sensor mounts so the sensor can read the ring, and a tuner with gear ratio and tire size adjustment may be needed to finish clearing codes. 1 Ton 14 Bolt 60 Tooth Tone Ring for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs
Do I need the 60-tooth or the 52-tooth ring?
Match the tooth count to what your Jeep's ABS module reads — a mismatched ring reports the wrong wheel speed and the codes stay. This is the 60-tooth version for JK builds whose module expects 60 teeth; if yours calls for 52, order the 52-tooth 14-bolt ring instead. Confirm your module before buying.
How does the tone ring install on the axle?
It is a press-fit part: Artec recommends an interference fit secured with green Loctite. Depending on your 14-bolt hub, machining may be required to achieve that fit — Artec does not offer the service, so plan on a local machine shop. Choose the 4.55" or 4.375" inner diameter that matches your hub so the ring seats correctly under the sensor.
Is the ring alone enough to keep my ABS working?
No — the ring needs a factory sensor positioned to read it, so pair it with Artec's 14-bolt ABS sensor mounts. One ring covers one wheel end, and it ships in the size ordered. Even with the hardware in place, a tuner with gear ratio and tire size adjustment may be needed to fully clear codes.
