Front Axle Truss for Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ 1997-2006 & Grand Cherokee ZJ 1993-1998
Lifted Wranglers and Grand Cherokees put loads through their front housings that the factory never planned for, and the result is a slowly bending Dana 30 or Dana 44. The Artec Front Axle Truss for TJ, LJ, and ZJ counters that with a 1/4" truss top and interlocking 10-gauge gussets that reinforce both axle tubes — not just the long side like most trusses. It is the natural starting point for a linked or long-arm front end on a Wrangler TJ/LJ (1997-2006) or Grand Cherokee ZJ (1993-1998), with optional upper control arm mounts to match.
Features
- 1/4" mild steel truss top with interlocking 10-gauge (.130") gussets
- Gusseting reinforces both tubes to address the whole housing
- Low-profile design leaves working room above the axle at ride height
- Available in Dana 30 and Dana 44 versions to match your factory front axle
- Optional Daystar bushing or RockJock Johnny Joint upper control arm mounts
- Precision CNC cutting means the truss drops in place and welds up with minimal fuss
- Interlocked design reduces required weld length, cutting heat warp during install
Match the version to your axle: base TJ and LJ Wranglers and the ZJ carry the low-pinion Dana 30, while 2003-2006 Rubicons carry the Dana 44 — and note the XJ’s high-pinion Dana 30 needs the Front Axle Truss for XJ instead. Part of the truss welds to the cast center section, so this job belongs with a competent welder. Add Inner C Gussets to protect the knuckle ends of the housing, or explore every option in our axle reinforcements collection and the wider Jeep Wrangler catalog.
