JMX Pro 3-Piece Teflon Lined 7/8" Rod End with 3/4" Bore

$36.29

This JMX Pro rod end puts a stout 7/8"-14 shank behind a 3/4" bore, the combination heavy steering builds reach for when the link tube is big but the mounting bolts are 3/4". Artec Industries builds it as a three-piece joint: a heat-treated 4130 chromoly body, a hard-chrome-polished bearing-steel ball, and a heat-treated alloy steel race with a smooth PTFE liner that keeps the joint quiet and tight where injection-molded budget races go sloppy. It is the same joint Artec runs in its crossover steering kits, offered in right-hand and left-hand thread for adjustable tie rods and drag links.

Features

  • Three-piece design with a serviceable, PTFE-lined race
  • Heat-treated 4130 chromoly body for high-load steering duty
  • Hard-chrome, heat-treated bearing-steel ball
  • 7/8"-14 shank threads into 7/8" tube adapters and link tubing
  • 3/4" bore sized for 3/4" mounting bolts
  • Right-hand (JMX12-14R) or left-hand (JMX12-14L) thread for length-adjustable links

A universal fabrication joint rather than a vehicle-specific part — verify your link tube or adapter is threaded 7/8"-14 and that your brackets take a 3/4" bolt. Lock the link with a 7/8"-14 jam nut, and if your brackets are wider than the joint, center it with 3/4" high misalignment spacers matched to the bore. Need to run a full 7/8" bolt instead? Choose the JMX Pro 7/8" rod end with 7/8" bore, or get these pre-packaged in the Crossover Steering Kit with 7/8" JMX rod ends.

JMX Pro 3-Piece Teflon Lined 7/8" Rod End with 3/4" Bore FAQs

What is the difference between this and the 7/8" bore version?

Both share the same 7/8"-14 shank and three-piece Teflon-lined construction. This version has a 3/4" bore for 3/4" mounting bolts, common on high-steer arms and factory-style brackets; the other takes a full 7/8" bolt for maximum joint strength. Match the bore to the hardware your mounts use.

Do I need right-hand or left-hand thread?

A length-adjustable link runs one right-hand and one left-hand rod end so you can spin the tube to change length — handy for setting toe on a tie rod without disconnecting it. Order JMX12-14R for right-hand or JMX12-14L for left-hand to match each end of your link.

What else do I need to finish the link?

A 7/8"-14 jam nut to lock the joint once length is set, a 7/8" threaded tube adapter or link tube for the shank, and a 3/4" bolt through the bore. If your bracket is wider than the ball, add 3/4" high misalignment spacers to center the joint and gain articulation.
