Aluminum Mid Arm Kit Lowers Only for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+
The lowers-only version of Artec's JL Aluminum Mid Arm Kit swaps all four lower control arms on a Jeep Wrangler JL or JLU (2018+) for polished 7075-T6 aluminum links with RockKrawler joints, keeping your existing uppers in place. It is the budget-friendly entry into aluminum arms: the lowers hang lowest and take the most abuse, so that is where lighter, adjustable, rust-proof links pay off first. Artec spent roughly five years hammering 7075 aluminum links in its ARTECON racer to prove they survive hard rock crawling and daily driving alike. The links bolt straight to the factory frame and axle mounting points.
Features
- Four 2.0" OD 7075-T6 polished aluminum lower links (front and rear)
- Eight RockKrawler joints, 4 RH and 4 LH, 1.25"-12 tpi with 9/16" bore
- Eight matching 1.25"-12 tpi jam nuts for locked-in length settings
- Threaded ends allow on-vehicle adjustment of caster and wheelbase
- 7075-T6 aerospace alloy is stronger for its weight than steel tubing and never rusts
- Proven through years of ARTECON race and trail testing
Artec notes these arms work best with 3.5"-4" lifts; a 2" lift can run them with a slight wheelbase stretch, and they are not compatible with lift systems using control-arm drop brackets. Measure each factory arm center-to-center, match the new link, and finish with an alignment. Want uppers too? Step up to the complete JL Aluminum Mid Arm Kit. Gladiator owners should see the JT Aluminum Mid Arm Kit, and the full range lives in our control arms collection.

Aluminum Mid Arm Kit Lowers Only for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+ FAQs
What lift height do these arms work with?
Artec says they work best with 3.5"-4" lifts. You can run them on a 2" lift, but the slightly longer arm dimensions may add a small wheelbase stretch. They are not compatible with lift systems that use control-arm drop brackets, such as the Teraflex ST3.
Do I keep my factory upper control arms?
Yes. This kit replaces only the four lower arms, front and rear, and your factory or aftermarket uppers stay in place. If you want aluminum lowers plus RockKrawler solid steel front uppers, step up to the complete JL Aluminum Mid Arm Kit.
How hard is the install?
It is a bolt-on job for anyone with general mechanical ability. Remove one factory arm at a time, measure it center-to-center at the bushings, thread the Artec link to match, and torque to factory spec. Get an alignment afterward and re-check all bolts after the first 50 miles.
