Morimoto Bigbanger LED Pods — NCS Spot Beam
The Bigbanger is the large-format pod in Morimoto's Banger line: seven LEDs behind a single optic, 3,150 raw lumens, and a body measuring 154mm across. The NCS Spot version focuses that output into a 5-degree hot spot for maximum reach.
Twelve CREE amber LEDs ring the face as a backlight that stays visible in daylight and dims 90% at night so it does not glare back at you. All figures below are per pod.

How far does the NCS Spot throw?
The spot optic produces a 5-degree hot spot, the tightest pattern in the Bigbanger range. White output measures 425,000 Cd (4,250 lux at 10m) and yellow measures 290,000 Cd (2,900 lux at 10m).
What is the amber backlight for?
Twelve CREE XP-E2 PC Amber LEDs surround the face of the pod. They stay visible during the day and dim by 90% at night, so the ring does not create glare on dark roads.
What does the Bigbanger draw?
2.74A at 13.5V DC once stabilized, with a 3.33A startup draw, on a 9-18V DC input. Power and signal run through an integrated Deutsch DT 4-pin connector.
How big is it compared to a 2Banger?
Considerably larger: 154mm wide by 136.7mm tall (153.5mm with the bracket) and 76.1mm deep. Confirm you have the clearance before choosing a mounting location.
