Artec Hardcore Diff Cover for Jeep Wrangler JL M200-D35 Rear

$210.99

The Artec Hardcore Diff Cover for the Jeep Wrangler JL M200-D35 rear axle is a thick-wall nodular-iron casting built specifically for the rear Dana 35 (M200) under 2018-and-newer non-Rubicon JLs. Artec engineered it from 3D scan files of the factory housing, so it seals cleanly and follows the casting's contours instead of forcing a universal fit. The stamped OE cover dents easily when the rear axle drags over rock; this one armors the ring gear and carrier so a Sport or Sahara can run the same trails as its Rubicon siblings.

Features

  • High-strength nodular iron with thick walls for impact resistance
  • Engineered from 3D scan files of the JL M200 housing for a precise fit
  • CNC-machined sealing surface and powder-coat finish
  • Magnetic drain plug captures metal shavings at every fluid change
  • High-strength steel fasteners install with a 5/16" Allen key; fill plug takes a 3/8" Allen
  • Cover bolts torque to 20-30 ft-lbs in a star sequence
  • Made in the USA with a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects

Confirm your JL has the M200 rear — Rubicons carry the M220 Dana 44 and need the M220-D44 rear cover instead. Seal with RTV or a Lube Locker gasket (not included). Pair it with the M186-D30 front cover to armor both ends, and see all diff covers for the Jeep Wrangler.

Artec Hardcore Diff Cover for Jeep Wrangler JL M200-D35 Rear FAQs

How do I know if my JL has the M200 rear axle?

Sport and Sahara trims typically run the M200 Dana 35 rear, while Rubicons carry the larger M220 Dana 44. The axle tag on the housing or the shape of the factory cover confirms which one you have. If yours is the M220, use Artec's M220-D44 rear cover instead.

Does installation require welding or special tools?

No welding — it bolts on in place of the stock cover. Drain the fluid, clean the flange, seal with RTV or a Lube Locker gasket (not included), then torque the supplied fasteners with a 5/16" Allen key to 20-30 ft-lbs in a star sequence and refill through the 3/8" Allen fill plug.

What makes this better than the factory rear cover?

The OE cover is thin stamped steel that dents and can leak after a hard hit on the rear diff. Artec's cover is cast nodular iron with thick walls, modeled from 3D scans of the actual JL housing, so it seals precisely while adding real armor over the ring gear and carrier.
