3" Simple A-Blade Gusset - 90 Degrees (Weld-In Steel)
Every tube chassis and roll cage has right-angle joints that carry more load than a plain weld should, and a corner gusset is the honest fix. Artec Industries' 3" Simple A-Blade Gusset drops into a 90-degree intersection of tube or plate and ties both members together, with the brand's signature A-Blade profile laser-cut into the center so the structural piece doubles as a finished detail. It is cut from 3/16" bare steel, sold individually so you can buy exactly the count a cage or bracket project needs, and made in the USA. This is a fabricator's part for any platform — Jeep, Toyota, or a ground-up buggy.
Features
- Weld-in reinforcement for 90-degree joints in cages, chassis bracing, bumpers, and bracket assemblies
- Laser-cut from 3/16" thick steel for durable, consistent parts
- Signature Artec A-Blade cutout in the center gives a branded, finished look without weakening the plate
- 3" leg size suits common tube and plate intersections
- Clean laser edges mean tight fit-up and minimal grinding before welding
- Bare steel — weld it in, then finish to match the build
- Sold individually; made in the USA (SKU GU4009)
There is no fitment chart to check here: if the joint is 90 degrees and steel, this gusset works. Welding is required — tack it in place, weld to both members, and paint or coat the bare steel afterward. Gusseting an axle instead of a cage? Artec's Inner C Gussets reinforce knuckle Cs, and the 14 Bolt BACKBONE Truss handles full-housing bracing. 3" Simple A-Blade Gusset FAQs
What vehicles does this gusset fit?
None in particular and all of them — it is a universal weld-in fabrication gusset, not a vehicle-specific bolt-on. It reinforces any 90-degree steel joint on a tube cage, chassis brace, bumper, or bracket, on a Jeep, a Toyota, or a scratch-built rig. If the corner is a right angle, it applies.
Does installation require welding?
Yes. The gusset has no bolt holes; it is a weld-in plate. Fit it into the 90-degree corner, tack it, then weld it to both members. Because it ships as bare steel, paint or powder coat it after welding to prevent rust.
Is it sold in pairs, and what is the A-Blade cutout for?
It is sold individually, so order the exact quantity your project needs — cages typically use several. The A-Blade is Artec's signature profile laser-cut into the center of the plate; it gives the gusset a finished, branded appearance while the plate remains structurally effective.
