The Artec Industries Bantam Rear Bumper brings the Bantam Series' high-clearance philosophy to the Jeep Wrangler JL. Laser-cut from 3/16" steel and made in the USA, it swaps the wide, low factory bumper for a tucked profile that protects the rear corners and improves your departure angle when the trail drops away behind you. Welded D-ring recovery mounts give you real rated recovery points, and the design retains factory hitch and towing capability. Installation is a bolt-on job with no welding, and you can order it in bare steel for custom finishing or in black powder coat ready to run.

Which Jeeps does the Bantam Rear Bumper fit?
It is built for the Jeep Wrangler JL, 2018 to present. The factory rear bumper is removed and the Bantam bolts on in its place — no welding is required. Factory hitch and towing capability are retained after the swap.
What is the difference between the bare steel and powder coated options?
The steel underneath is the same 3/16" laser-cut plate either way. Bare steel ships unfinished so you can paint or powder coat it to match your build — plan to do that before installation, since raw steel rusts fast. The powder-coated variant arrives with a durable textured black finish and is ready to bolt on immediately.
Does it have real recovery points?
Yes. D-ring mounts are welded into the bumper structure, giving you engineered attachment points for shackles and straps during a recovery. You also keep the factory hitch receiver, which adds another option for hitch-based recovery gear.
