Long Arm Upgrade Kit for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+ & Gladiator JT 2020+
The Artec Industries Long Arm Upgrade converts a Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT to true long-arm suspension geometry, built for rigs running 3-6" of lift. Stock-length arms on a lifted Jeep swing through a steep arc that harshens the ride, tips the pinion, and binds the suspension before it runs out of travel; this kit relocates the pivots and lengthens the arms to flatten that arc, improving ride quality, pinion behavior, and roll center at the same time. Arms come as machined 7075 aluminum or fabricated DOM steel, riding on Johnny Joints at both ends, with configurations for factory M210/M220 axles or a 1-ton axle swap. It is a system for builders who want the geometry done properly, not patched.
Features
- Machined 7075 aluminum arms in 2.25" and 1.75" diameters, roughly 10% lighter than steel equivalents
- Fabricated 2" and 1.5" DOM steel arms available as a durable lower-cost option
- Precision laser-cut and bent 1/4" steel brackets for accurate pivot relocation
- RockJock Johnny Joint at the frame end, narrow-housing Johnny Joint at the axle end
- Geometry tuned for 3-6" ride height with improved cycle, pinion angle, and roll center
- Front offered as ET4, ET3, or bolt-on systems; rear as bolt-on (JL) or weld-on triangulated (JT)
- Bolt-in HD modular crossmember, with Artec's patented rear axle truss on applicable configurations
- Options for factory M210/M220 axles or 1-ton axle swaps
Fits the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018+) and Gladiator JT (2020+); pick the front type, rear type, axle option, and arm material that match your build and lift height, and note the JT triangulated rear kit does not clear the DEF tank on diesel models, so it is for gas trucks only. Bolt-on configurations install without welding, while JT triangulated rear setups are weld-on, and any long-arm conversion is an involved job best planned with an experienced installer. Rebuild damaged pickup points while you are in there with the JL/JT HD Front LCA Frame Bracket and JL HD Rear LCA Frame Bracket, and see the rest of our control arms and Jeep Wrangler upgrades.

Long Arm Upgrade Kit for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+ & Gladiator JT 2020+ FAQs
Which configuration should I order for my Jeep?
Match four things to your build: model (JL or JT), front type (ET4, ET3, or bolt-on), rear type (bolt-on for JL, weld-on triangulated for JT), and axle (factory M210/M220 or 1-ton swap). The kit is tuned for 3-6" ride height components, and some configurations include Artec's patented rear axle truss. One caution — the JT triangulated rear kit interferes with the diesel's DEF tank, so it fits gas Gladiators only.
Aluminum or DOM steel arms — which is right?
The machined 7075 aluminum arms (2.25" and 1.75") are the premium option, giving maximum strength at roughly 10% less weight than steel. The fabricated 2" and 1.5" DOM steel arms trade a little weight for a lower price with excellent durability. Both use the same Johnny Joint ends, so articulation and adjustability are equivalent.
Does the install require welding?
It depends on configuration. The bolt-on front system and JL rear bracket upgrades install without welding using the bolt-in HD modular crossmember and countersunk hardware, while the JT triangulated rear setups are weld-on. Either way, a long-arm conversion changes core suspension geometry and is best handled by an experienced installer.
