The JK2TJ Triangulated Swap Kit takes the rear Dana 44 out of a 2007-2018 Wrangler JK and hangs it under a 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ on a triangulated four-link. Ditching the factory track bar gets rid of the lateral bind and rear-steer that show up as a linked TJ cycles, and the included truss stiffens the JK housing at the same time. Every axle-side mounting point arrives in one box, cut and bent in-house from mild steel. It suits TJ and LJ builders who want a stronger, wider rear axle with proper link geometry rather than a stock-style swap.

- Full mount package: upper and lower control arm mounts, shock mounts, anti-sway bar mounts, and coil spring mounts
- Triangulated upper control arm layout deletes the rear track bar
- Upper link mounts measure 2.63" wide to take 1.25" rod ends and other large joints
- Outer brackets locate directly off the truss, saving hours of measuring during fit-up
- Around 70% less welding than earlier Artec designs, so less heat and less warp in the housing
- High Clearance variant uses flat lower link brackets and shock mounts to reduce rock damage
Verify you have a JK rear Dana 44 (2007-2018) and remember that OEM control arms cannot be reused — the triangulated layout needs new upper links and frame-side brackets, and installation is weld-on work for a competent fabricator. Which axle and which Jeep does this kit connect?
It installs a rear Dana 44 from a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK into a 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ or LJ. The truss and full bracket set — control arm, shock, anti-sway bar, and coil spring mounts — convert the JK housing to fit the TJ on a triangulated four-link.
Do I need new control arms and links?
Yes. The triangulated upper arm layout deletes the rear track bar, so factory OEM control arms are not compatible. Budget for new upper links and frame-side brackets to complete the conversion; the truss's 2.63" upper mounts accept 1.25" rod ends and other large joints.
Is this a bolt-on kit?
No — the truss and brackets weld to the axle housing, so competent welding and fabrication skills are required. The outer brackets locate directly off the truss, which removes the measuring and guesswork, and the design needs about 70% less welding than earlier versions, which also keeps warping down.
