Swap a Ford 8.8 under a Jeep Wrangler TJ and the factory sway bar loses its mounting points along with the old Dana 35. These are the driver- and passenger-side sway bar brackets from Artec Industries' TJ 8.8 swap kit, sold separately by request, and they put the factory TJ sway bar back in its exact OEM position on the new housing. Formed from 1/4" boxed steel plate and cut to wrap the 8.8's 3.25" axle tubes, they keep on-road manners intact after the swap instead of leaving the bar dangling or deleted.

These are weld-on brackets: Artec's install guide places them 5-3/4" apart center-to-center between the differential and the coil spring mounts, matched to the factory mounting angle, and welding should be done by a competent welder with bolts re-torqued to 40 ft-lbs and rechecked after the first 50 miles. Do these work with the sway bar that came on the Explorer 8.8?
They are not designed for it. These brackets locate the factory Jeep TJ sway bar in its original position on the 8.8 housing, so you reuse the bar and end links already on your Jeep. That keeps geometry and handling stock instead of adapting Explorer hardware.
How are they installed?
They weld to the 8.8's 3.25" axle tubes between the differential and the coil spring mounts, set 5-3/4" apart center-to-center and matched to the factory mounting angle. Welding should be done by a competent welder, the bare steel should be painted afterward, and Artec recommends torquing hardware to 40 ft-lbs with a recheck at 50 miles.
Can I use them on an axle other than a Ford 8.8?
Possibly. The tube cutouts are sized for 3.25" diameter tubes, so they drop straight onto an 8.8; other axles with similar tube diameters can work with minor modification to the cutout. Measure your tube OD before ordering.
