The front lower control arm brackets on a Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT sit at the lowest point of the front axle and catch ledges, rocks, and everything else the tires roll over. These Artec front LCA skids box that area in 1/4" steel plate, wrapping the bracket and shielding the control arm joint — factory or aftermarket — from direct hits. They weld to the axle far more securely than the OEM stamping, so a hard hit deflects off instead of folding the bracket.

Do these fit the Gladiator as well as the Wrangler?
Yes. The front lower control arm bracket area is shared between the Wrangler JL (2018-present) and Gladiator JT (2020-present), so the same pair of skids covers either truck's front axle.
Is welding required to install them?
Yes. These are weld-on skids — installation requires welding, fabrication, and mechanical skills. Prep the axle surface with a grinder or wire wheel, weld the skids to the brackets and axle, then finish the bare steel with self-etching primer and paint. If you cannot weld, have a qualified shop handle the install.
Will they interfere with my control arms or joints?
No. The skids are shaped to wrap and protect the joint — factory bushing or aftermarket joint — while leaving the control arm's full range of motion untouched. Drainage openings are left in place so water and mud do not collect behind the plate.
